The Annual Joe Utterback & Jerry Garcia Tribute Music Festival

Live music! Local arts & crafts vendors! Delicious food!

The Annual Jerry Garcia Tribute Music Festival, or Jerry Fest, began way back in the year 1995 on a September day, one month after Jerry Garcia's passing, as a memorial and celebration of his life. It was hosted by Joe Utterback, owner of Penny Lane, and organized by Harvey Utterback, Ed Weed, and Perfunctory This Band, who've performed every year from 1995-2021.

It started small; a gathering of friends and family enjoying each other's company, good food, and live music. But over the years the party grew and so did its meaning. It had become a celebration of community, friendship, and appreciation for the customers who supported Penny Lane.

In 2013, the festival was renamed The Annual Joe Utterback & Jerry Garcia Tribute to memorialize Big Joe. Without him, there wouldn't be a Penny Lane Gifts or Jerry Fest. His spirit carries on with us.

JerryFest has been held annually every year since 1995 (besides a brief set break in 2020). It's our pleasure to be able to thank our customers by providing a positive environment to groove out to the sound of some very talented local musicians. We invite you to come experience it for yourself!
